July 2017 Nestle launched a non-dairy range of Häagen-Dazs ice cream in the US. The product contains ingredients such as Belgian chocolate, peanut butter, and coconut cream but does not contain animal products. Through this launch, the company aims to tap the growing demand for vegan products.

Feb 2016 Ben & Jerry’s launched four vegan ice-creams under non-dairy frozen dessert category. The products are made from almond milk base. Through this product launch, the company aims to target consumers who follow vegan diet and to people who are allergic to dairy based products.
